The Sheil Collection is entering its third decade  of trading - we started in the T&G Arcade as a concept shop for Don Sheil products. We recieved many requests from artists/designers to display their products and we  introduced new artists, but the shop was too small for the growing quantity of fine Australian pieces.

The second decade was spent in Tattersall's Arcade with a shop twice the size, and half filled with Sheil  - the other half became many other artists that change as their  rate of production varies.

The third decade is in The Brisbane Arcade with its fabulous historical feel - a touch of elegance and uniqueness - we have settled in with our Australian range of excellence and our standards of quality ensure that you always will find some of the best Australian made pieces. These gifts are made to the highest aesthitic standard with a quality commercial level achieved by these few Australian designers, artists and craftspeople.

The Sheil Collection as a shop, has long been a popular destination for international and local customers looking for that 'something special and memorable' in a gift, we are delighted to showcase the works of some of Australia's finest artists from the shops permanent collection.  The website has resulted from the growing requests of customers who wished to revisit the shop or refer family, friends and associates but did not have a means to do so because of their locality- so we have the shop as well as a WEB SITE.

The Sheil Collection has been awarded CRAFTMARK accreditation by Craft Australia which is the industry mark for quality Australian craft, certified through the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission. The Craftmark guarantees that this retail outlet is a reputable, recognised retailer of high quality Australian craft. Accreditation has been awarded in recognition of THE SHEIL COLLECTION'S ongoing support and promotion of the Australian craft sector.
