Promoting Australian Made

We appreciate that it is becoming increasingly difficult to source quality gifts that are appropriate, unique and Australian made and believe that supporting local business and product ensures the best possible future for Australia.

The Sheil Collection as a shop has long been a popular destination for international and local customers looking for that 'something special and memorable' in an Australian made gift. We are delighted to showcase the works of some of Australia's finest artists from the shop’s permanent collection.  The website has resulted from the growing number of requests from customers who wished to revisit the shop or refer family, friends and associates but did not have a means to do so because of their locality. Now The Sheil Collection is both a physical and an online destination!

The Sheil Collection is entering into its third decade of trading - we began in the T&G Arcade as a concept shop for Don Sheil products. We received many requests from artists and designers to display their products and we introduced new artists - but the shop was too small for the growing quantity of fine Australian pieces.

The second decade was spent in the Tattersall's Arcade with a shop twice the size: half filled with Sheil products and half with other artist’s works.

The Sheil Collection currently trades from The Brisbane Arcade. With its fabulous historical feel and a touch of elegance and uniqueness – we have found our ideal home. We have settled in and our standards of quality ensure that you always will still find some of the best Australian made pieces here. These gifts are made to the highest aesthetic standard with an excellence and quality level achieved by Australian designers, artists and craftspeople.
